Mission

The Mission of the United Methodist Church is: "Making Disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World."

Our Church's History

In November, 1910, Annual Conference took action to open a new mission in Wichita Falls; and Rev. C. Bunse was the first pastor. A class of sixteen members were organized, and the property our first church stood was purchased. A tent 20x35 was the first church from April through November 1911, while the first framed building was being constructed. It was dedicated November 26, 1911 by Rev. J.Wellner, D.S. Assisted by Rev. C.Bunse, Rev. C. F. Mayer and F.J. Schafer. The cost was $2200. An annex was added to the building in 1926 by Rev. F. Doege at a cost of $1800. Under Rev. H.C. Hoesch, the growth in membership was great in Sunday School And Church, Funds were gathered for a new building. As we continued to grow in our membership and faith, the Church decided to raise money for new land and a new church. In March 1990 They bought the land where the church now sits at 5800 southwest parkway. In 1991-1992 the new church began construction, and in January 1993 the new Church building was finished and the old church was sold. From there the church had two visons one of creating a great place for the young adults to interact and one to create a permineant sanctuary ,so in 2004 the (Ministry Activity Center) M.A.C was built. As members of faith we still work twards our Perminant Sanctuary, and i hope you will join us as we strive for our goals and grow closer to God.
